Senior writes
questions for online gameshow “PlayCafe”
by MAGGIE

While some students at KHS are home after school playing games
online, one student is working on a new internet game show.
Senior Chad
Mosher is currently working on a new game show called “PlayCafe,” which is the
first Internet game show network.
“I played with the show a few times,
and I sent them a couple of questions because they liked having user-submitted
material. Mark (Goldenson) liked what he saw, and he asked me if I would like to
be an employee,” Mosher said.
“PlayCafe” was created by Mr. Mark
Goldenson.
Goldenson has worked for PayPal and Google.
“PlayCafe”
was created about six months ago.
“I thought it was way overdue to create
truly interactive game shows,” Goldenson said.
“PlayCafe” is separated
into three segments, each with six questions. The first segment is Mix and
Match, where the player must match items from one category to another, like a
singer to his band.
The second segment is Predict the Poll, where players
answer how a group of people answered a survey question.
The third
section is Media Mash-up, where players answer questions about a specific song,
photo or video clip.
“PlayCafe” is played nightly on playcafe.com at 10
p.m. Mosher likes the volume of players so far but hopes that more people start
to get involved in the game.
“I would love to see some of my Kearsley
comrades come in and play,” Mosher said.
